So it's been a while..

It has been a while since I've blogged lately, but things have been a bit hectic. I just got back from starbucks...played a little sputnik with Corey and Eric. We are addicted to the game. We are thinking about making it a friday night tradition. So if you want in let me know.

So yesterday me and my fam went to dinner at Chick-fil-a with another youth pastor and his family. It's always good to be with people you like to hang out with especially when the only agenda or objective is to just hang out. It's amazing that the simplest things in life can add so much to a relationship. All we did was go to dinner and let our kids play at the mall. It didn't cost much just dinner and some time.
Everyone needs an outlet where they can just hang. It's in those times that friendships and relationships are formed. I had a friend whose dad was really sick in the hospital. He was there for eight hours while the doctors tried to stabilize his father. One of the pastor's at his church that had mentored him came to the hospital as soon as he found out and just sat in the waiting room with him the entire time not saying a word...just sitting there. My friends father did not make it, but he later told me that what his pastor did meant more than anything anyone ever did for him. Sometimes just hanging out can make the most impact in a relationship.

I found yet another commercial I like. This couldn't have cost more that $1 to make, but it is definitely genius. Have fun! 

Day with my kids!

Today I just hung out with my kids. We went to the History Museum because Clifford the Big Red Dog was there and Jonah loves Clifford. He call him "Clippard". Ben was hysterically frightened of him. 

I love hanging with my kids, because I realized how fast they are growing up. I seems like yesterday that Jonah was born and now he will be 4 in June. Ben is about to turn 2 and now I have a daughter. 

My hope is that I become a great father. Someone they are proud to follow. I just gotta take it one step at a time. Keep it real!

new software

So today I hooked it up with a computer change. I'm making a switch into the 21st century with a new computer. Well it's not new, but it's fairly new. I've been using this really nice laptop on wed. night for song show, and I've wanted to use it for a long time but it didn't have any office products on it. So today I finally got the right software. It even has a built in camera. I'm excited because it is a huge step up from my last computer. So to all those wanted an upgrade keep it real and it will happen.

No Church

So we didn't have church for the 2nd week and it's killing me. The main thing is that Jesus is still in control so I guess I don't have to worry, but I like hanging with my youth.

Last night we started a Skype account. For those of you who are techno challenged. Skype is a video conferencing website that allows you to see the person you are talking to. We talked to our family back home and to Sarah's sister in Indonesia. It was pretty cool. All you need is a webcam and internet and bam, you can talk to anyone in the world who also had a webcam and internet.

Well I'm getting geared up to watch The Office tonight so like always I'm keeping it real!

Crazy weather

Ok, now I'm tired of the snow. Somebody tell me that it is over soon. I don't know about you, but I am ready for some warm weather.

Ground Hog Day

Happy Ground Hog Day everyone! It looks like Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today indicating another 6 weeks of winter. I say we kill Phil for his satanic ways. Jk all the way.

One of my favorite things is in life is commercials. I really like to critic commercials, because I'm fascinated with marketing schemes. The ones that make me laugh are my fav. So check out one of my favs. 

Snow, ice, and cold oh my.

It is kinda nasty out today. A nice wintery mix of snow, freezing rain, and coldness. (I sound like a weather man). 

Well let's just say that I'm not happy because again due to the weather there is no service this wed. I always feel weird when I'm not at church on wed. I guess it's because I'm always at church and my body know that I should be there. 

I still have work that needs to be done so keep it real!

The gym

It is so embarrassing when I go to the gym because everyone stares at me. Mostly because the amount of weight I lift. It's almost as if I can't find enough weights in the gym for my lifts. Ok this is a joke and I'm in a slightly weird mood...so I stretched the truth a little. Anyways keep it real!

Starbiz

So tonight after service me and about 6 others went to the wonderful world of Starbucks. Mmm...non-fat, no whip, white mocha. Simply the best. Maybe you guys won't have school tomorrow? Keep it real! 

A day in Louisville

So today me and the fam spent the day in louisville at the malls at st. matthew. We had a blast. Babe and the boys at za and I had chinese for lunch. Then we just went to all the stores. The best thing about having fridays off is that nobody is at the malls during the day. I got to go to the Apple store which is always a bittersweet experience for me because I want to buy one of everything, but I can't...so then I get sad. Jonah loves to play the star wars lego game. Ben just keeps punching the space bar. 

All in all we had a great day. To top it all off we made a stop at the Cheesecake factory to get a slice of Tiramisu Cheesecake and a cup o joe. So what did you do today? Keep it real!

My Babe can cook!

My Babe is the best cook. I don't know how she does it with 3 kids going crazy, but it was amazing. I had to work late tonight due to a late meeting, but when I got home you smell the best smelling roast ever. She went all out. All I can say is "what are you doing to me now". 

Tomorrow is going to be awesome because I told Jonah that he could choose where to go and he said he wanted to go to Louisville to the Apple store. He might have had a little coaxing, but I'm not sure.

Crazy Talk

Well last night was awesome. We had a great service and I hope some lives were changed. Don't ever give up on God, because He will never give up on you. I pray you 2009 is 10x better than your 2008.
